Imagining merely imputed phenomena as truly and permanently existent entities obscures the cognitive mind and causes many emotional instabilities when they prove to be impermanent and contrary. Most misunderstandings in relationships, pain, hurt, guilt, anger and resentment are caused by one's lack of crucial intelligence in being aware of the contrast between facts and assumptions. In Buddhist syllogism, there are differences between (1) manifest, (2) hidden and (3) very hidden objects. The five aggregates are core subjects that are often confused and grasped as self and other. Form, feeling, perception, action and consciousness are known as five aggregates. Grasping at body as 'self', emotions as 'permanent' and thought as 'real' and objects as 'truly existent' are fundamental causes of wrong action and reaction under the influence of afflictions and knowledge obscuration. In this special workshop, one will gain in depth knowledge about the Five Aggregates from various different Buddhist philosophical views.
Lama Choedak Rinpoche will be the host and will be joined by national and international teachers including: Robina Courtin, Dr. Khenpo Jorden, Khenchen Konchok Gyaltsen, Prof. Tashi Tsering and Ven. Jamyang.
