It was a great surprise to all that almost 80 people attended this years combined 26th annual White Tara retreat and the 7th Family Week at SIBA.
There was a separate programme for the children who had the whole of the Golden House to themselves where they learned prayers and chanting mantras as well as doing some sitting and walking meditation and stimulating simple messages of kindness and gratitude. There was also plenty of time to do Dharma craft and play in the dams and local billabong.
There was a White Tara play especially composed by Lama Choedak Rinpoche that the children performed for everyone which was great highlight. Also five adults took Refuge in the Triple Gem at the end of the retreat.
Thanks to all the SIBA staff for working so hard to make the event so special welcoming. Thanks especially to all the participants and extra special thanks go to Lama Choedak Rinpoche for his dedication to this retreat.
And Rinpoche said that we will be doing the White Tara and Family Week together again next year on the 2016 Australia Day long weekend!
