SLCD Launches New Website!

By Greg O'Rourke on 9th January 2015, 21:08

Introducing the new website of Sakya Losal Choe Dzong, Tibetan Buddhist Society of Canberra! It was becoming timely for an upgrade as the previous website was starting to limit what we could offer in the online world.

The new website was formally launched at the conclusion of the recent visit of His Eminence Luding Khen Rinpoche, in which he gave his good wishes and also a talk on how the new website will help us to more effectively spread the precious teachings of the Dharma. Check out this short video which features the talk by His Eminence, followed by him launching the website.

SLCD Launches New Website

As well as a better system for sharing news from the Society and improved event booking facilities, this new website now features a new members area which offers a large archive of recordings of teachings by Lama Choedak Rinpoche and other visiting teachers. There are complete courses available to download as audio or watch via video right from the website. This new initiative is available to all current members of SLCD and is now part of what we offer with membership to the Society, which will also now include a quarterly printed newsletter.  If you aren't a member of SLCD, now might be the perfect time to think about signing up!

We had a lot of fun putting this new website together, check it out and let us know what you think. A special thanks goes to Oliver and Katy from Northbridge Digital, the UK based web developers who did such fantastic work on this project. To help make it easier to find what you are looking for, we put together a short video tutorial as a bit of a guided tour of the new site.
