Sakya Losal Choe Dzong To Host 2019 Australian Visit of His Holiness the 42nd Sakya Trizin - Event Details

9 - 16 April: Lamdre Jochakma - Register Here>>

SIBA Retreat Centre, W-Tree, East Gippsland, Victoria

His Holiness will give a rare one-week Lamdre teaching that encapsulates the entire Buddhist path to enlightenment. This is the first time that this teaching will be taught by the Head of the Sakya lineage outside of Tibet.

Virupa Retreat Centre, Carwoola, NSW (near Canberra)

This is an amazing opportunity to receive one of the highest Tibetan Buddhist deity yoga meditation practices from the Head of the Sakya lineage here in Australia. Vajrayogini is a powerful Buddhist goddess who fearlessly assists those wishing to attain enlightenment for the benefit of all sentient beings.

His Holiness will bestow the Healing Medicine Buddha Empowerment in Queanbeyan. This is a powerful meditation practice that remedies the underlying causes of illness.

It is with great joy that the Tibetan Buddhist Society of Canberra formally announces the First Official Visit of His Holiness the 42nd Sakya Trizin to New Zealand and Australia from 23 March - 13 May 2019.

His Holiness the 42nd Sakya Trizin, Ratna Vajra Rinpoche, is the current head of the Sakya lineage of Tibetan Buddhism and is one of the most important and highly regarded Tibetan Buddhist Masters alive today, second only to His Holiness the Dalai Lama. His Holiness the 42nd Sakya Trizin will bestow many empowerments and teachings during His visit this year at Buddhist centres across New Zealand and Australia. The Tibetan Buddhist Society of Canberra is very grateful that His Holiness has consented to give a succinct Lamdre teaching known as "Lamdre Jochakma" at our retreat centre, SIBA, in East Gippsland, Victoria from 9 - 16 April 2019. This will be the first time that Lamdre Jochakma will be taught by the Head of the Sakya Lineage outside of Tibet. His Holiness will also bestow the Vajrayogini Blessing and Teachings at Virupa Retreat Centre, Carwoola NSW over the Easter Long Weekend from 18 - 22 April 2019. Vajrayogini is one of the highest Tibetan Buddhist deity yoga meditation practices, and empowerments and blessings such as this are only imparted by high lineage masters. His Holiness has also agreed to bestow a Medicine Buddha Empowerment in Canberra on the evening of Saturday, 20th April 2019. The venue and booking details will be published shortly.

Together with Sakya Dolma Choe Ling, the Tibetan Buddhist Society of Canberra is hosting a Shakyamuni Buddha Empowerment and a Manjushri Empowerment bestowed by His Holiness in Sydney at the end of His tour. These empowerments will be held at the Chevalier Resource Centre in Kensington in addition to an afternoon teaching on The Immeasurables in Three Vehicles. Bookings for these empowerments and teachings will be open soon.
