Buddha Day Celebration

By Jampal on 12th May 2015, 18:41

Saga Dawa (vesak in Sanskrit) is the Buddhist traditional celebration honouring the full moon day when Buddha was born, attained enlighenment and attained mahaparinirvana. It is the most auspicious day in the Buddhist calendar. It would be fair to call it Buddha Day!

Venerable Jamyang will be leading the Sixteen Arhat puja at Evatt on Wednesday 3 June at 7pm as a traditional practice of prayers and chanting. All the prayers are in english.

We hope you can join in on this special day. All are welcome and there is not charge or registration required.
