BUDDHIST TEACHINGS: Wheel of Sharp Weapons – Canberra

Registration is closed for this event
Come and learn about the writings of Atisha, Langri Thangpa and Chekhawa: celebrated Indian Buddhist writers revered for their clear explanation of Buddhist philosophy.

manjushriThe writings of Atisha, LangrI Thangpa and Chekhawa are widely taught widely known as 'Seven Point and Eight Verses' Mind training. But Atisha's famous Indonesian teacher Dharmarakshita who gave teachings on the Mind Training wrote his own poem known as 'WHEEL OF SHARP WEAPONS'.

It is much larger text, the contents of which are designed to subdue self-grasping. He challenges us to use all adversarial circumstances in life as a 'Wheel of Sharp Weapons', a tool or weapon to destroy the demon of self-cherishing, the root cause of all sufferings.

Lama Choedak Rinpoche will read the text and provide his own commentary. This is an invaluable teaching and should not be missed.
