In Tibetan Buddhism, Tara, the Buddha of compassion and action has 21 major forms, each of which has a different colour and spiritual attribute.
Of these 21 forms, two are especially popular among Tibetan people — White Tara, who is associated with compassion and long life, and Green Tara, who is the goddess of enlightened activities, wealth and abundance, and the remover of fear and anxiety.
By receiving this Green Tara empowerment one can do the Praise to the 21 Taras, say the Green Tara Mantra and participate in the Green Tara pujas that are regularly held at our centres.
Note: From Wednesday 8 August, Green Tara practice will be incorporated with our regular Wednesday night practice session at Evatt at 7:00pm. All are welcome.
