COMPASSIONATE LIVING (Friday 25 May ~ 7pm)

Life has many challenging times but if one remains conscious and rational, there isn’t anything that cannot be remedied with a compassionate outlook. One should know all experience comes from relevant causes. When one is conscious of people in pain and suffering, even the most difficult problems can be an important turning point if one learns to practise, and knows how to practise compassion. Through tender, loving and caring attitude, all can be very rewarding to help others with kindness and good heart.

IMPORTANCE OF SUICIDE PREVENTION (Saturday 26 May ~ 7pm)

Australia has more people killing themselves due to depression, anger, anxiety and guilt than through gun violence. We may have strict gun laws, but people do not know how to control their thoughts and deeds. We need to learn ways to practice safe thoughts and speech to stop all forms of violence including suicide. Suicide prevention from the Buddhist perspective is the practice self-kindness.
