At the request of many people, Lama Choedak Rinpoche has graciously agreed to host a 5-day Tara Retreat this April at SIBA Retreat Centre.
In Tibetan Buddhism, Tara's is known as the mother who protects and saves all sentient beings. She is invoked to help people overcome dangers, fears and anxieties. She is also especially worshipped for her ability to help practitioners overcome the most difficult of situations and live in harmony with others. Like all the Buddhas, Tara is compassionate, being ready to step down from her lotus throne to offer comfort and protection from all of the sufferings we experience in the world.
Her twenty-one manifestations represent different aspects of overcoming the fear and suffering of sentient beings. There are aspects within these twenty-one corresponding to increasing wisdom and intelligence, dispelling of sickness, attainment of longevity, removal of obstacles, clearing of nightmares, pacification of demonic forces and destructive emotions, increasing of harmony and prosperity, overcoming of disputes, etc. In this way, Tara practice is beneficial for both temporal and spiritual wellness
In this special retreat, Lama Choedak Rinpoche will give the empowerment of 21 Taras, followed by four days of teachings and practice sessions. A daily ‘Green Tara Puja’, or offering ceremony, will be included in the retreat.
All teachings, books and delicious vegetarian meals are included in this price.
This is a rare opportunity to receive this empowerment and teachings from Lama Choedak Rinpoche. As this is not one of our usual retreats, we encourage you to book now so you don’t miss out!
