Daytime Calm Abiding Meditation Classes With Nat

We are pleased to announce that we are providing a day time 8 week Calm Abiding course for those who are unable to make the regular Tuesday evening classes. 

Calm Abiding meditation is a traditional, easily accessible form of meditation that will rapidly bring peace and happiness to your mind as you learn to abide in the present moment. Meditation has a proven record in its ability to improve health, awaken happiness and give a clear perspective on life. This 8-week course will introduce you to the five experiences and nine mental stages of calm abiding meditation.

One of Lama Choedak's passionate students and our regular Sunday session leader, Natalie Mallia, will be leading this class. Natalie first attended this 8 week Calm Abiding course in 2016 and noticed the difference it made in her every day interactions, thoughts and emotions. Natalie highly recommends this class for anyone who wants to become a better person and live each day with a sense of purpose and clarity. 

When:  11am Thursday's

Dates:  Thursday 29 August - 17 October 2019

Where: Tibetan Buddhist Society of Canberra, Level 2B, Grant Cameron Community Centre, 27 Mulley Street, Holder 

Cost: $100 general admittance, $85 concession. 

Registration includes a complimentary copy of Lama Choedak Rinpoche's book, Taming the Elephant Mind, which we will be referring to during the course. 
 

About Nat: 

Buddhism found Nat in 2015 when she was trying to make sense of a scary medical diagnosis - a degenerative eye disease that would likely leave her blind within 3 months. As her life was falling apart around her, Nat found the life boat of the dharma and a sense of peace and acceptance from within. As her Buddhism and meditation journey continued, Nat's vision loss stabilised and miraculously in 2019 her vision returned! Nat attributes this healing not only to the surgery, but to her ability to calm her mind and allow her body to heal from within.

Nat has a passion to help transform other people's lives with the help of meditation and mindfulness and loves seeing how people leave a meditation session calm and happy.
