Dharma is said to be medicine for the mind and that is why people in the helping profession are so enchanted by Buddhist thought and its contribution to the understanding and treatment of mental illness.
The Buddha also taught a form of meditation for people suffering from physical and mental illnesses by using a practice of a sacred mantra and meditation based on Healing Medicine Buddha Bhaishajya.
In this once-in-a-lifetime event, His Holiness the 42nd Sakya Trizin, Ratna Vajra Rinpoche, has kindly agreed to bestow the Medicine Buddha Mantra Healing Empowerment. His Holiness is part of a sacred, authentic lineage of teachers that can be traced all the way back to the Buddha himself.
Attendees will receive the special mantra for healing and a short meditation one can do to help oneself overcome illness, as well as a means to be patient to assist and cope with severe pain associated with sickness, ageing and dying.
