Hevajra and Ngon-dro Retreat over the Easter Long Weekend

At Easter, Lama Choedak Rinpoche will conduct a NGON-DRO retreat that will run in parallel with the Hevajra Retreat. There will be Part I and Part II in both retreats. You can choose to attend part 1 of the retreat, which lasts for five day or both part 1 part 2 which lasts for eight days. The retreat will be held at SIBA, in Victoria.

HEVAJRA RETREAT

If you are a fortunate recipient of Lamdre teachings or have attended Lamdre Jo-chakma from HH Ratna Vajra Rinpoche in 2019, you are eligible to attend this year's Hevajra Retreat with Lama Choedak Rinpoche over the long Easter Weekend 6.00pm (AEST) Thursday 17  to  1.00pm (AEST) Tuesday 22 April 2025.  Even if you missed last two year's retreat you will be allowed to attend it. 

Rinpoche will be teaching on the remainder of LAMDRE SEYDON-MA by Sachen Kunga Nyingpo which has extensive teachings  on how one attains the thirteen  stages of enlightenment by doing the practice of the four empowerments of Hevajra Sadhana. 

Rinpoche will also teach on the NINE PROFOUND METHODS ON GENERATION STAGE and COMPLETION STAGE according to Saroruha-vajra's text from the Nine-fold cycles of Path. There also will be a daily Yantra Yoga exercise practices. 

You will receive Lama Choedak Rinpoche's draft translation of the LAMDRE SYDON-MA. Please bring your own copy of the Middle Length Hevajra Sadhana as it will feature very important at this retreat.

NGON-DRO: SAKYA PRELIMINARY PRACTICES RETREAT

Once you learn to meditate and begin to appreciate the path, it is mandatory to receive the transmission, instruction and learn to how to do the Ngon-dro, Preliminary Practices. Ngon-dro practice enable to purify one's negative deeds of the past and accumulate meritorious practices to embark on the Vajrayana path. 

During this retreat you will receive Vajrasattva empowerment followed by instructions and guided meditation practices on all fundamental practices including Refuge, Prostration, cultivation of Bodhicitta, Vajrasattva Purification, Mandala Offering and Guru Yoga practices. The retreat will also be facilitated by senior and experienced students.

Both Hevajra and Ngon-dro Retreat will run in parallel. Those doing Hevajra retreat have the option to join at least one the Ngon-dro practice sessions if they wish to. 

Important note

There will be Part I and Part II in both retreats. One can attend Part I and extend to do the part II. This is because the Easter weekend is followed by Anzac Day holiday. Part II is for the benefit of those who wish to stay on longer. In part II of both Hevajra and Ngondro retreats, there will be one group session, two or more private sessions, and one Question and Answer session with Rinpoche per day.  

This gives you excellent opportunity for you have few extra days and take advantage of being in the right environment. Also Rinpoche will be there from 17-25 April 2025.

Transport
