In East Gippsland's Snowy River Country, there is a stunning and welcoming Buddhist retreat centre called SIBA.
The ‘White Tara / Family Retreat’ has returned to SIBA for January 2025.
This popular retreat is a great opportunity to learn the White Tara practice under the guidance of Lama Choedak Rinpoche, who will bestow the empowerment of White Tara and give extensive teachings on the practice.
It is an excellent retreat to begin a new year, as it is invigorating, refreshing and will give you a new lease for 2025! If you have ever thought about doing a retreat and learning more about Tibetan Buddhist practices and White Tara in particular, now is the time!
It is also a great opportunity for families to spend some quality time together in the beautiful, lush surrounds of SIBA Retreat Centre in East Gippsland, Victoria.
Parents can choose to attend the White Tara Retreat, while children of all ages will be occupied with plenty of activities under adult supervision, including Dharma storytelling, outdoor games, music, damper making and campfires. Depending on their ability, they can also visit Buchan Caves.
Please note that children under the age of five can stay free of charge if they are accompanied by an adult carer or parent.
Both families and individuals are welcome to attend this retreat. Those who are unable to attend the White Tara Retreat in person can also participate online.
