Canberra alternative route via Jindabyne (340km)

  • Continue through Cooma to Jindabyne
  • Turn left onto Barry Way (last round-a-bout as you leave Jindabyne) and head for Buchan
  • Do not use the Jindabyne route in the wet or snow season. This route is quite windy and has a long stretch of dirt road. It is however 150km shorter and has beautiful scenery along the river and through the mountains.
