PUBLIC TALK: Human Values In Action

Registration is closed for this event
The Tibetan Buddhist Society of Canberra is pleased to host a special public talk entitled Human Values in Action. This talk is in response to the recent Carwoola bushfire and the many people who assisted during this event and continue to assist.

carwoola-fire-picThe Society has a retreat centre in Carwoola and fortunately, even though the fire came close to some buildings, nothing was damaged. Our heartfelt thanks goes out to the firefighters who protected our property.

In this special talk, Human Values in Action, Lama Choedak Rinpoche, Spiritual Director of the Tibetan Buddhist Society of Canberra, will look at how tragedy can make us aware of the small but beneficial things we can do to help one another and rebuild our community.

This special talk is open to everyone, especially those who are connected or have been directly affected by the recent Carwoola bushfire.

Entry: by donation - all proceeds will go to the Carwoola Bushfire Appeal administered by the Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council.

For those of you who can't attend and would still like to donate, the details to do so can be found at: http://www.qcc.nsw.gov.au/Announcements/Carwoola-Bushfire-Appeal
